Taco Seasoning

I love Mexican food!  I'm also always trying to make my body & kitchen healthy.  I'm embarrassed to say that for years I bought taco seasoning from the grocery store  Tacos, burritos, etc. can be a healthy meal, depending on how you make them!  I love to make Mexican salads with ground seasoned meat and/or seasoned black beans, avocado or homemade guacamole (garlic, lime juice, salsa, avocado, salt & pepper), salsa, lettuce, and tomato.  Sometimes I add organic corn tortilla chips and cheese - just depends on how I'm feeling!

Anyway, back to the taco seasoning - I was out of seasoning at home and a friend suggested that I make my own.  I finally read the side of the package next time I was at the grocery store and was somewhat horrified to see the chemicals and the crazy  amount of salt that is contained in one package!  So, I found a recipe that I liked and there's been no looking back.  Now I'll share it with you!  I usually make a triple batch and keep it on hand to season black beans or ground meat whenever the need arises.  I hope you enjoy!
