I had a delicious green smoothie for breakfast this morning. Despite being a Naturopath, I never thought I'd be that person who puts kale in their smoothie - but I do and I love it! I bought a VitaMix blender last year and am still loving it. I put some sort of green in every smoothie I make, and it honestly just adds a nice freshness to the smoothie.
This mornings was adapted from a recipe I picked up at William Sonoma in Toronto this weekend:
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup parsley
1 cup kale
1/2 cup mango juice (or until it's a good consistency)
1/3 of a cucumber, cut in chunks
1/2 apple, cored and cut in chunks
1 orange, peeled and seeded and cut in chunks
Blend until smooth!
