Menopause/Perimenopause

Menopause is a natural transition — not a disease. Yet for many women, the hormonal changes that occur during this phase can significantly affect quality of life. A naturopathic approach recognizes menopause as a powerful life stage that deserves individualized, compassionate, and evidence-informed support.

Menopause is officially diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. It typically occurs between ages 45–55, though timing varies.

The transition leading up to menopause is called perimenopause, when hormone levels — particularly estrogen and progesterone — fluctuate.

Common symptoms may include:

  • Hot flashes and night sweats

  • Sleep disruption

  • Mood changes or anxiety

  • Brain fog

  • Irregular cycles

  • Vaginal dryness

  • Low libido

  • Joint aches

  • Weight changes

Not every woman experiences menopause the same way — which is why individualized care matters.   I have training to use and prescribe both herbs as well as pharmaceutical estrogen & progesterone - so together we can make an informed decision on what is truly best for you.

My goal is to help you:

  • Feel comfortable in your body

  • Reduce disruptive symptoms

  • Protect bone and cardiovascular health

  • Maintain cognitive function

  • Thrive in your next chapter

Whether you’re considering lifestyle support, herbal medicine, or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT - which I can prescribe), I want you to make informed, confident decisions about your body.
